In today's, video is about Warli Art.
Warli paintings are believed to be one of the oldest forms of art in history. It is a form of tribal art that owes its origin to the state of Maharashtra in India.
This art is very popular among the tribal community, however, even today, it has not gained any special recognition outside India.
Though Warli art simply consists of basic shapes such as a circle (inspired from the sun), triangle(mountains), they do depict the exact life of a warli village-like tarpa dance, wedding procession.
Warli tribe used to adorn their wall with this contemporary art form. It is usually done on red brick background painted with white paint made of rice and gum with the help of bamboo skewers.
